Vision of Justice is a Michigan non-profit organization that provides free cataract surgeries to individuals who are experiencing financial hardship and are legally blind.

Waechter teamed up with his childhood friend, Dr. Walter “Wally” Cukrowski who has earned the reputation of one of Michigan's leading eye surgeons. Dr. Cukrowski is one of the owners of Michigan Eyecare Institute which is a state-of-the-art facility that provides diagnostic and treatment services for customized eye surgeries to annual eye exams. Qualifications to be a candidate for free cataract surgery include being uninsured, being legally blind in both eyes due to cataracts, meeting limited income levels, and being a Michigan resident.

Waechter’s nonprofit, Vision of Justice, pays the hard costs for the eye procedures and a very discounted surgical fee.
